Tami Mette Nursing Professor
"What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us." — Ralph Waldo Emerson
I did most of my growing up in Wyoming and attended the University of Wyoming where I earned my BSN in 1991. My first nursing job was on the orthopedic floor at the University of Utah Medical Center. After a year of living in the "big city", I returned to the rural life in Elko in 1992. I got a job on the Obstetrics floor at "Elko Memorial", now known as NNRH. In 2005, I decided to further my education and got my MSN with emphasis in nursing education from the University of Phoenix in 2007. I was ready for a job change at that point, so I switched to a faculty position in the Nursing department at Great Basin College. Absolutely loved my time as a staff nurse and I am absolutely loving my time as a nursing instructor!
